cool architecture, winchester mystery house - march 22, 2001
the winchester mystery house was one of the few tourist attractions we visited while in the san jose area. aryn recommended it, citing its staircases into ceilings and its sheer mass (180-room mansion constructed over 38 years). it was cool, not only for its size and its cool architecture, but also for its beautiful garden.
